Will the AI send my guests door codes?

Guests & messagingUpdated
The short answer

Only when the exact code is on file for that unit, in the house manual or knowledge base. If it is not, the AI says so and passes the question to your team, and you can also keep codes team-only entirely.

In detail

One condition, no guesses

The AI sends an access credential, a door code, gate code, lockbox combination, or alarm code, only when that exact code is written down for that exact unit. It never reconstructs a code from memory, never adapts a code it saw for a different unit, and never offers a second code after a first one failed. A guest standing at the door gets your team, not another guess.

Codes never arrive by accident

Door and lock codes are deliberately never synced from your Guesty listings, so a code can never reach a guest through listing data. A code gets to a guest two ways only: a fact your team put on file, or your team itself. Everything the Guesty connection does sync is listed on the integration page.

Or keep codes in human hands

You can mark credential topics as team-only. Facts on those topics are then withheld from the AI's answers entirely: the guest is told the team is being notified, the request is registered, and the code reaches the guest from your team. It is a per-topic choice, not all or nothing, so the wifi password can stay instantly answerable while door codes stay human.

Editing what is on file works like the rest of the knowledge base, and when a code is not on file the question follows the normal escalation flow.
