TravelPal vs HostBuddy AI
HostBuddy is the budget option in AI guest messaging, at $7 to $12 per property per month, and if a capable chatbot is all you need it is a fair buy. TravelPal costs more because it does more: upsells sold and paid in the conversation, written back to the reservation in your own system, with everything included at one flat price.
What HostBuddy is
HostBuddy is a standalone guest-messaging chatbot built to sit on top of your property management system, with PMS integration listed on every published tier. Its published plans are Pro at $7, Elite at $10, and Ultimate at $12 per property per month, each with two weeks free and two months free on annual billing. Features scale by tier: conversation history is kept 30 days on Pro and 60 on Elite, guest journeys are capped at two and five, the inbox is view-only on Pro, and higher tiers add a website chat widget, knowledge base customization, custom tone, and webhooks.
Where TravelPal differs
TravelPal is $25 per unit per month with nothing tiered: every unit gets the same around-the-clock answering, the same upsell engine selling at your exact prices, payment in the chat by card link or through Airbnb's Resolution Center, write-back to the reservation in whichever of 33 systems you run, and a guest guidebook for every stay.
HostBuddy's pricing page lists gap-night upsells; it does not list late-checkout or early check-in selling, or collecting payment in the conversation.

Where HostBuddy AI is ahead
An honest comparison starts with what the other side does well.
Price
$7 to $12 per property per month is less than $25, plainly. If answering guests is the whole job, HostBuddy wins on cost.
Not tied to one PMS
HostBuddy has been PMS-agnostic from the start, with PMS integration listed on every published tier. TravelPal reached 33 systems later than they reached theirs, and they have been multi-system for longer.
Website chat widget
Higher HostBuddy tiers include a chat widget for your own website. TravelPal messages guests through the booking channels and its guidebook, not a site widget.
Multi-currency billing
HostBuddy bills in USD, GBP, AUD, or CAD. TravelPal bills in US dollars.

Based on HostBuddy's public pricing page and feature matrix at hostbuddy.ai/pricing, read September 16, 2026, plus their own site and help center re-read September 17, 2026. Where HostBuddy publicly claims a capability, it gets the check.
Silence is reported as silence. Where HostBuddy AI’s materials do not describe something, the row says so instead of counting it against them.
Common questions
HostBuddy is half the price. Why pay $25?
Because the $25 includes the revenue side. TravelPal sells late checkout, early check-in, and mid-stay cleaning at your prices, collects payment in the conversation, and writes the change onto the reservation in your own system. One late checkout a month at $60 more than covers the difference on that unit.
Does TravelPal cap history or features by tier?
No. There is one price, $25 per unit per month, and every feature is in it: no message caps, no history windows, no view-only inbox, no journey limits.
